Has anyone heard the Linn Klimax DS

The buzz about the Klimax DS is that you can get better sound out of CDs stored on a hard drive played through the DS than you can out of CDs played through any conventional "real time" player. I've had limited audition experience with it, and, frankly, am not sure what I think. Most of my listening was done against the EMM two-box player (all redbook mode). The Linn seemed smoother, although I'm not sure if there wasn't just a bit less "air" in the highs. The few people who have been exposed to it for longer periods of time seem quite impressed. The DS is mentioned in one Audiogon thread, but I guess not many people have heard it. Curious if others have heard it since. Is this the wave of the future?

I have heard it.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is the future, it sounded so much better then linns owen akurate cd that it sounded broken.
I liked it better then the full spec keel lp12 vinyl player no mean feat.

The product itself is diffently the best looking audio component in the world, it looks very serious and tastfull.

I like the fact that its pure bread ultra preformans product, no buttons , no digital out , no word clock input ,only analog output , all the magic happens where it should be and thats inside the klimax .

Im saving up for one.
