"TOAST OF THE NATION"-
Listened to a fantastic radio show on NPR last nite from Lincoln Center as well as Chicago celebrating with awesone jazz for hour after hour. lasted all nite.
they do this every year and it just gets better and better. One group did a jazz tribute to Jimi Hendrix and James Brown. Another band mixed in Latin Jazz with mainstream jazz, prog. rock/jazz, etc. amazing percussion work.
I keep saying i'm going to tape it but
i don't have the right set-up (Just a radio). i believe you can go to the internet
and listen to the program again anyway.
the Country may have its problems, but great music is not one of them.
