It does come down to the way it sounds to you, but I believe ProAc and Ehera Vitae, to mention just 2, intend for the tweeters to be closer to the center.
Focus Audio 68 Signature Series - In or Out?
Got these speakers....love them to death...wondering if they're set up correctly though. The tweeter (!) is offset and ever since I've had them they've been on the outside of the setup (away from center).
Maybe they need to be on the inside of the center? Or does it all come down to how they sound in each placement?
