Dynaudio C1 MK1 advantages over MK2/Signature

Thanks guys. I just went back to MKII so now I have gone round trip (MK2-MK1-MK2). I am enjoying the MKIIs. They seem to be less demanding on my amp while having greater clarity.

Price. In Europe a 2nd hand pair of mk1 often costs less than half the price of a new pair of mk2s.

I've owned them both at different times so I can't really remember the differences too well. Currently I have the MK1 and the tweeter seems smoother to me but that could be amp related. They sure do soak up power.

After owning both the only advantage of the MK1 is they will play slightly louder. So if you listen loud all the time they are great. Like I've mentioned in the past the MK1 sounds best at loud listening levels which was my only complaint. I prefer lower levels most of the time and that is where the the MKII/Sig is a lot better IMO.
