Digital cables

To make it shoer for a change. I tried several cheap Digital Coax cables. Amazon Blue Jeans digital coax for $20, BJ Silver cable for $24 Cable Solutions on Ebay. $38. All sounded quite good. Also a Kimber 30 for about $100 i very good as is the Audio Advisor Pangea $95 cable. Had a lot of fun trying them. Some not marked for direction. Try em both ways. All are returnable in 30 days if you don't like. Personally, several of these sounded better than a couple $350 cables that I had to return. Your mileage may vary.

what lengths did you try?

you also need to say what gear you did the cable trials with... some equipment may not be good enough to yield noticeable SQ differences due to digital cable connection...
It's like you are saying that cheap digital equipment is better at rejecting the noise and jitter in a digital signal than expensive equipment.

I just purchased a Silnote digital cable from here on Audiogon for $99 (between my CD player/DAC). It replaced a Blue Jean digital cable, as I didn’t think it should make a big difference. Well, it did, and was so impressed with the change, immediately bought a pair of Silnote IC’s for the connection between my DAC and pre. Another very nice improvement. Being more an ‘analog guy’, and without yet digging in my pocket for a ‘ladder DAC’ (Denafrips on my radar). I’m pretty pleased.

Pretty impressed with Silnote. They made a great improvement to my digital set-up.
