Denon DVD 5000 upgrades?

I have the dvd5000 by Denon & it seems to sound just fine but I am thinking about an up grade. Are there any mods that I can have done to make it worth keeping? I have replaced the laser on it twice in the 6 years i have had it. It has a Panasonic ( not so good about lasting) pick up assembly. Other than that, It has worked just fine. It does not read the re-writable disc's, but that is no biggy to me since I have none. Any info on this question will be appreciated. Thanks....
