Denon DL103R VTA
I have two turntables in the same system- an LP12/Radikal/Keel/Ekos/Kandid and a Thorens TD124/SME 3009 S2 unimproved/Denon DL103R. I always strive to set tonearm height so that the arm is parallel with a record. I made a slight adjustment on my Thorens to move the arm lift and that resulted in the arm being slightly high, ie, a bit tilted down. Well, figured I’d give it a listen. You know what, actually sounds pretty good!
So my question for DL103 R users that fuss with VTA, what do you find optimal for the Denon- parallel, tipped down or tipped up?
FWIW, I am running the 103 into a 100 ohm load
Thanks!!
