Dave, FWIW, your speaker is fairly easy to drive with tube amplifiers. You might consider that- generally speaking, the extra smoothness offered by tubes will be helpful when driving that midrange horn at higher volume levels.
You might want to get a sound pressure level meter so you can be sure both amps are playing at the same level. First Watt amps don't make a lot of power relatively speaking.
My money is on the First Watt as being the better sounding amp within its power range.
