Cerious Technologies NEW Graphene Cables

Now, this is not a advertisement, just a posting sharing my experience on some well made great sounding cables at a very reasonable price. Besides, I don't think Cerious Technologies is set up for a big influx of cable orders.

But, if you get the chance to try these cables, please do.

I have been interested in the newer cables coming out that are using Graphene as a conductor. SR cables seemed interesting, but I always hated the way there cables had all those extra wires (with the active shields and such). I then noticed an ad early in I think November or December from Cerious Technologies for Graphene cables. I investigated how the cables were assembled and it seemed like quite a laborious process.

I ordered (with a 30 day money back guarantee) the balanced Graphene interconnects, and boy did they impress me. Such depth, soundstage, realism, frequency smoothness, effortless sound. I was truly impressed!  I now have a complete loom of the Cerious Technologies Graphene cables. That is; interconnects, speaker cables, digital cables and power cords.

I ended up selling all of my other cables and to those of you who have read my postings know that cables have always been my curiosity.

So, as I began this post, let me again iterate, I have no alliance to the company, my posting is for those of you looking for an great alternate high quality Graphene made cable without spending a fortune.

I have ordered one of Bob's GE pcs and will compare it against my HF CT-1 after it burns in. Should be interesting..The price certainly is right..
I installed one of Robert's 'red-low current' power cords last night on my Lumin Network Player and am very impressed indeed with the early sounds.Robert says it will take 'a few days' to settle in. So far i think it sounds at least as good as my CT-1 pc and if it gets better, then it will be a winner for sure and an incredible value..Stay tunes.
Charles..It will be interesting comparing the 3 pcs, ..CT-1..Cerious GE and the CPT. The Cerious cable has to be the best in its price point ...by far..i would think. It is ..to this point better than the HF CT-1.
Charles... the cable is better today then my first impressions. If this continues, or gets better in the next few days i will more than likely buy 2 more. I am,however, going to compare them with the CPT i have coming thursday..It should be fun. I have a couple of my audio friends coming over sunday to see which is thought to be the best..
Like most stories there are always 2 sides and my guess...by the tone of your side..that the other side may be significantly different. Bob could not have been more gracious with my inquiry and I don't know him at all..just saying..!!!!
infection..My apologies....In the USA .."MF" means something very ...........unprofessional. As someone who is a 'very cordial and polite' person..i assume it must mean something entirely different in Germany....otherwise you would not have characterized him in the USA meaning of the initialism.Again..my apology.
audiolabyrinth....i  will be doing that exact comparison this weekend and will throw in the CPT pc also.
charles1dad...without giving away what I/we  found out yesterday in comparing the CT-1..CT GE and the CPT....I would see if i could evaluate the CPT also..i will be posting my findings probably Tuesday or Wednesday night ...whenever I get Dragon fixed at my clinic..
lak..would love to here your opinion on the CPT 300. I think it is extremely good..
A couple of friends of mine, last Sunday, sat down to compare 3 power cords. One of these was my High Fidelity" CT–1". The second was a CT GE,
from Cerious Technologies. The third is a CPT-300, balanced power cord, from Core Power Technologies. My power cord is fully burned in having
greater than 500 hours on it. The other 2 are newer cables having less than 50 hours on them. Obviously this will, to some degree, skew the findings
but did give us an idea of how they compare. 2 of my audio friends joined me, as mentioned, and all of us came to similar conclusions although differing slightly occasionally. The idea of the
comparison was to choose 5 tracks from different albums, all HD/SACD, and look at a number of different sound parameters. We chose 7. #1–Airy-defined
as pertaining to tremble which sounds like, delicate, open, and seemingly unrestricted in upper extension. #2–articulation–defined as clarity
and intelligibility, usually of voice reproduction. #3–attack transient–defined as the initial energy pulse of a percussive sound, such as from
a piano string, triangle, or drum head. #4–Depth–defined as the illusion of acoustical distance receding behind the loudspeaker plain,
giving the impression of listening through the loudspeakers into the original performing space. #5–detail–defined as the subtlist,
most delicate parts of the original sound, which are usually the first things lost by imperfect components. #6–impact–defined as a quality of concussive force
,as from a deep, strong base attack, which produces a brief sensation of visceral pressure. #7–involvement–defined as the degree to which a reproduction
draws the listener into the musical performance and evokes an emotional response to it. It was not always easy to stick to the agenda throughout.
We did, however, come do fairly common conclusions regarding most of these. The music used, during the shoot out, included #1–\Neighborhood-Manu Katche, tract #1,
November 99... #2- Modern Cool-Patricia Barber,Constantinople.... #3–Diana Krall-Wall Flower- tract 2-Desperato. #4–Tchaikovsky Symphony No.6-Reference Recording
First movement.................. We played each track 3 times, with each of us sitting in the sweet spot to allow the best chance of evaluating
each of the chosen parameters. This was a little time-consuming, but we decided to do it this way so we would have a better chance of remembering what we were
listening to. We started each track with the CT–1, proceeding to the CPT–300, and finally to the CT GE power cord. The cost of these cords is different,
with the CT 1, retail and $2300, at the 1.5 m length, the CPT–300, at approximately $850, and the CT GE at approximately $300. All cables were constructed
very well. The workmanship on each is excellent. At each change of cables, my SET amps were turned off and allowed 15 minutes to warm backup. With regard to the first
parameter, all 3 cables performed superbly. The edge here was judged to a tie between the CT–1 and the CT GE. The CPT was certainly not far behind and would be very
acceptable to all but the most discriminating. #2–articulation, was a virtual tie between all 3 cables. All of them produced a beautiful, natural vocal realness.
The CT GE cable produced a slightly forward vocal presentation compared to the other 2. With all of them it was easy to hear the breathing and lips
of Diana Krall. They all presented a life like image. #3–attack transient–the winner here was the CPT–300 which consistently presented tight, quick, delicate sounding
tonality to cymbals, wood blocks, and tympany. The weigh of the music presented was also better than the other 2. #4- depth–all 3 cables presented an equally real presentation
of three-dimensional space. The CT GE produced a slightly less high sound stage.
This was also slightly less wide. The CT 1 and CPT–300 were sound stage champions. #5 detail–all 3 cables were equally capable of reproducing the most delicate
sounds within the soundstage. The weight of the music, however of the CPT–300 did give it a slight edge. #6–impact–the CPT–300 was the champ here. It was definitely able
to produce a more visceral impact with drums, and other percussive instruments. #7–involvement–all 3 of the cables were superb and drawn you into the music.
There was never a moment of fatigue, to my mind, as I had the ability to listen to each of these cables for many hours at a time. The CPT–300, because of
the increased weight of the music, was a slightly more enjkoyable ...... all 3 of these cables are superb cables, with the CT GE being amazing at its price point.
Obviously, these are just our opinions using my system. The other side of this is that the CT GE and CPT 300 were not fully burned then. The conclusions that we
came to were fairly unanimous across the board. All of us agreed that each cable has its own strengths and given the right system, would perform admirably.

System: Chaliss Audio–'Grail'SET monoblocks
Tidal Audio-'Contriva Diacera-SE' speakers
Lumin A1 Network Music Player
HF CT-1 pcs x 3
HF CT-1U interconnect
HF CT-1U speaker cables

I have also had the opportunity to communicate with the 3 designers of these cables, all of whom are gentleman and professionals.
I posted my review but for some reason it didn't show up, after hitting 'post your response'... I have contacted Audiogon...
audiolabyrinth...thanks for the kind words...the CPT-300 I was using was/is a demo with very little time on it so I will be sending it back. I have ordered a new one, .however.i will update the review after an appropriate length of time to allow it to mature.
jazz..thanks for the kind words. The CPT pc is a great pc on my Lumin. The demo unit I have..until mine arrives...is getting better by the day..It is better...in my system..than the CT-1 was on my Lumin. My guess is that it would very well on your DAC. I am not surprised that the CT-1U ...which I have also..I/C ..is better than the CT GE...Dave
My early listening has been very positive with the 'high current' blue CT GE pcs..on my SET mono blocks...
infection...i have Chalice Audio 'Grail' SET mono blocks..you can do a 'Google search and read the review on Positive Feedback....the music is more coherent...vocals are more intelligible. They are musically and tonally as good or better than the CT-1 s they replaced. They give the proper weight to the music also.So far very - very good.
jmcgrogan2...yes..i am talking about the 2 'high current' blue CT GE pcs.As for the CPT 300..i did purchase one which should arrive early next week.i will be comparing it against the CT GE red ...for a longer period of time..on my Lumin player.

charles1dad...there are only 2 pair of the 'Grail' amps currently..unfortunate story as to why there are not many more. i will not elaborate...however. Chalice could have been one of the top companies in all of audiodom..if that's a word..
infection...'near'....the amps that were reviewed by Positive Feedback were actually the prototypes..not the final product which, in my case, and the other pair, have been upgraded many times. They are far superior to the original prototypes that were reviewed....as for the JPS 'Aluminata' pcs..i  had those in my system at the time of the review. they are / were very good pcs but not to the level of the CT GEs or CPT..
charles...you are more than welcome to come to virginia anytime you want..would love to have you hear them.

infection....you may ask..The current price is much more than the price in the review.... if you wanted a pair made...which takes about 6-8 months.....! The CT GE pcs are great..I think you would really like them..
I am REALLY impressed with the improvement the addition of the 2 'high current' blue CT GE pcs has made in my system. They continue to improve. Have only had the in for 50+ hours so far.Have ordered a pair of speaker cables also. The CPT 300 should be here tomorrow to compare on my Lumin..Fun Times...
bug...."..Bob states the 'red' cables are primarily for digital gear or lower powered devices and the 'blue' high current' pcs for most amps..you can certainly email him and ask which he would suggest for a particular piece and he would make suggestions..
ozzy...Bob is going to email me today with the particulars re: shipping..Can't wait. This will really be a test for the CT GE products
The 2 'blue' - high current CT GE pcs on my amps are improving every day and are just amazing. They are,in my system, much better than the HF CT-1 pcs. I  still have the 'red' CT GE on my Lumin A-1 and the synergy is superb. My system sounds the best it ever has at this point. I do have a new CPT -300 coming this week to try against the red CT GE on my Lumin. I also have the CT GE speaker cables coming to try against my HF CT-1U speaker cables. That will be a real test for the CT GE cables as the HF cables are superb.
Received the CT GE speaker cables today.,Right out of the box they are .............WOW.....truly amazed at what I hear already. Even my wife said they sounded "much better"..
charles1dad...it is an Amazing value. It changes my previous thoughts on cables as per  cost vs performance, that is for sure. The HF cables are truly superb. The CT GE cables just seem to work better with my collection of gear.Today's sound has improved from yesterdays. Classical music is just spectacular. I downloaded Paul McCartney's new HD album today and it sounded just incredible.I ordered a CT GE interconnect today to try..should be more fun coming.Bob really has a great stable of cables.I am not sure how he could/would improve on the current line..He says they will continue to improve over the next period of time..Can't wait..
Ozzie...yes it is 24/44...

kclone...the CT GE cables are both toward the warm side and have great weight to them.i can listen all day to them. They are the best I have had in my system.they are the most tonally and musically correct cables I have heard.hope this helps..
you will be glad you did..let us know if/when you do and how you like them..Dave
I can say that the CT GE speaker cables are superb...I bought the pair i tried and they are better then the HF cables they replaced. It just goes to prove that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get amazing cables.Could not be happier..The price point is maybe the best in audio. It doesn't matter what 'audiolabyrinth' thinks..he doesn't have the ability to be impartial. The 'blue', high current, power cords are also amazing.
lancelock...my guess is that you will find the speaker cables even better. I certainly did..They are amazing in my system..
jmcgrogan2...Yes and no..I did have the 'red' CT GE pc on my Lumin...where I use the CPT-300 and found the CPT better...I cannot..due to space constraints..have a CPT on my amps...but , that being said, the 'high current' blue CT GE pcs are superb on my SET amps. I like what the CPT does for the blackness and instumental separation.
My CT GE speaker cables and power cables continue to open up and tighten up. They are amazingly great cables...
kclone...red to red and blue to black...that is what i was told ..works great for me..
lak...you are correct. Robert suggested the 'blue' for my amps. They are the HC 'high current' version. They are great on my amps.
I had the opportunity to compare Bob's HC pcs ,that are on my amps to a very well known and respected PC today that retails for $3000/ 2m cord and the comparison was almost identical in all areas.
I would rather not release the name of the other cable. It would not be politically correct to do so...The other cable..as mentioned retails for $3000 and the differences were amazingly very limited, and amounted to splitting hairs, which speaks well of Robert's cables. The audio friend, who owns the other pcs, agreed that there was not any significant audible difference and was truly amazed at that finding.I do have another friend who just ordered a complete 'loom' of Robert's cables. Can't wait to hear his findings.
Robt...are you currently working on an upgrade to any of your current CT GE cables..?.
Robt..calloway here. i have a friend who just purchased a used VAC PA 100/100 amp and i convinced him to buy one of your PCs for the amp..which one should he get..?.
t_ramey....Bob's pcs are superb. They have changed for the better since putting them in my system. The speaker cables have done nothing but improve too.I do have a CPT-300 ( Core Power Tech) PC that I use on my LUMIN which also is superb....but Bod's cables are just amazing ....for any price.
Bob..i sort of agree with Ozzy..i,too, have owned the Audiodharma Pro cooker and used it with great success on my previous cables. There are many cable companies that use Alan's product. it is very well made. Ozzy has a point, though. Your cables are great right out of the gate.I would be willing to bet that Alan might be willing to let you demo one of his cookers to see for yourself if they do help..Dave
...without saying what Robert did for me today, i will just say that he is a consummate professional...
