Cassette decks....reliability and build quality...


Looking for an affordable option to tape local fm broadcasts....any thoughts? Denon? Prefer single deck to dual...

I own a Denon as well as a Yamaha, both work perfect after 10+ yrs. Another option wound be to buy a VHS Recorder and you can record for up to 6hrs. (2hrs mode would make better recordings. Would be fine for FM audio.) Just a option to consider. Bill
My older Panasonic VHS recorder had an input level adjustment knob. It made great recordings even at the lower SLP setting. (No longer have the Panasonic.) But I have a really nice older very high-end Sony that my parents used many yrs. On Wed. (my next day off) I'll see how well it records an FM broadcast.
