best speaker for real world music


when i write real world music i mean rock(pink floyd)rap(eminem)pop(madonna)reggae(bob marley)r&b(toni braxton) etc.as you can read between the lines i love bass, but not boomboom cerwin vega bass.no forward treble, liquid mid is ok (voices).used to own a pair of dynaudio contour 3.0 with musical fidelity gear, but cound´t play loud enough.new kef reference 203 maybee, open for suggestions.please no classical lovers blurps, i respect your taste, please respect mine.thanks

Actually many speakers may fit your needs...with a good sub added. I don't think the Martin Logan Aeon is the right choice for you...but read the current review of the Aeon with Martin Logan's sub in the current Absolute Sound. The reviewer does a good job of summing up the impact of the sub on the overall sound.

And again, if you consider this route there are many good choices. The Vandersteen 2ce signatures with their sub would be a good starting point...if you are in an area where you can go to dealers and listen.

Just some thoughts...sounds like your taste in music does need a good clean bass foundation...Best of success.
