Batteries for Edge G2 Preamp

Has anyone had any experience in upgrading the SLA batteries for the Edge G2 AC/DC preamp?

If so what do you suggest? And where does one get them?

The batteries Edge used may be dated as new SLA batteries come out all the time.

I also had a Dodd pre and Gary updated his batteries after a year or so as better batteries came available.

If you do a search online for Lead Acid batteries you will find tons of distributors that will ship right to your door.

I actually work for Lead Acid Battery manufacturer and trust me their are huge differences in quality and performance in Lead Acid batteries even from the same manufacturer.

For this application you would want a battery with good cycle life and low impedence. And of course it needs to be a Sealed Lead Acid Battery design. Either AGM or Gel would fit the bill.
