Hi Blindjim, Its always a pleasure to read about how your system is ever evolving. My suggestion is to move the Signature 10's to the bass unit terminals and Alpha Quad to the upper frequencies and give that a try. Synergistic has always recommended this type of connection and it makes sense since the Signature 10 excels in bass definition. I have had these cables before and concur.
If you are looking to buy new cables, another configuration Synergistic suggests is to use Acoustic Reference cables on the high frequencies with the Signature 10 on the low. I assume you already know how the I/C's perform since you have them. Expect similar complimentary results.
