Audirvana, Advice Needed Replaced Ext HD, Cannot open files

Need some advice,
I’ve had Audirvana practically since inception with no issues.  Purchased new WD ext HD copied files from same device but 5 years old. Audirvana plays through iTunes media folder where the playlists are and where Audirvana syncs from (I think). New HD shows up on desktop and in utilities.     I synced the new HD in Audirvana and when attempting to play a music file, Audirvana says optimizing system then says cannot locate file.  I could use specific instructions for each time I change HDs. I’m waiting the arrival of an external ssd and believe I would encounter the issue. Do I delete the AS altogether and reinstall, change a pathway? Somewhat lost with this. Thank you Dave H

Yes, reinstalling from scratch and setting up library with the new drives is probably going to least painful with highest chance of success.

There are hidden Audirvana+ files in your mac that are used to index your database. You've got to be sure those are fully deleted and re-created with the new library. It's hard and frustrating. That's why IMHO, trying to simply point the software to a new drive and debugging from there is likely to leave you scratching your head.

Unfortunately, similar experiences led me to abandon use of Audirvana after years of use. Good luck! Also, audiophilestyle may find you many A+ users who may not see your post here. Cheers,
