Are Beveridge Speakers worth purchasing

Given their age and dated design do they sound that good compared to more modern designs?

I don't know if they made a model with interfaces for use with conventional amplifiers, or not... This is what I'd like to know if I were considering the purchase.

I had a long listen to a pair (not sure of the model) years ago, to say I was impressed is an understatement. While they didn't have the deepest bass, they had a soundstage and mid-range to die for.
