A ringing tone beneath the actual sound. DCS Elgar

Hello...

I have a ringing tone beneath the actual sound...

It's most present at low volume or in standby.

I'm using ML37 transport with DCS elgar dac...ase 110ohm xlr from ML to elgar , Valhalla xlr to my Intg. Accuphase...

I have thought about if this a common problem , because every time you upgrade powercables & you can hear everything more clear , you can also hear all the components own sound.

Let's hear you out;-)

Your wife wanted me to tell you to answer the phone.
start unplugging components one by one to narrow down to the one that's ringing. could be a transformer...
Lewisjones,

Maybe that's why dCS calls the DAC in the Elgar a "Ring DAC":

Couldn't resist the pun.

Good Luck finding the problem.

Hello...

The unpugging thing will start next week & maybe a cablerotation...to solve the problem.
another thing to look at is the line conditioners. if you have anything plugged into a transformer based line cond, could be the cause....
