Snell Type A III vs. Klipsch Cornwall IV
Analog sounds great on this system with acoustic music, industrial (techno, noise, experimental) and most jazz. Falls short with rock.
Snell Type A III vs. Klipsch Cornwall IV
Really have not questioned the Snells for a long time. Have sounded good (and everything I could ask) with CDs. Recently, got turntable set up again (Oracle with ET2 arm and DynavectorXX-2), after having it off for 6 months or so. So, it may be a ...

Snell Type A III vs. Klipsch Cornwall IV
Thank youfor your response.  My room is large, has little echo, but is not treated. Not looking to increase brightness. Want a bit fuller sound, with special clarity on vocals and bigger impact (on rock, although I listen to all kinds of music). W...
Oppo BDP-83 optical out for 2ch stereo from blu-r?
Sorry, I meant running from the blu-Ray player to the dac through the blu-Ray player's digital co-axial outputs rather than HDMI.
Oppo BDP-83 optical out for 2ch stereo from blu-r?

Jim Capaldi RIP.
Somehow I don't remember his as the drummer. Wasn't the drummer Jim Gordon in later incarnations?
Any Meat Puppets Fans Out There?
Agree with you both 100%. Also think Meat Puppets II is good. Saw them with Camper Van Beethoven in 1985 or 1986 at a small venue in Fresno, CA and they were indeed hot. But so were Camper Van Beethoven. A great gig.
Bruce Moore Companion IIC preamp
Tom, you might want to contact Bob Bergner at rb electronics (see the website). He sells Bruce Moore's current designs. Maybe he could have Bruce look at it or direct you elsewhere.
snell a II
I never heard the AIII but I know it was taller than the AII and used a 12" woofer insteadof a 10" one. I think it also had a back-firing extra tweeter with controls. Otherwise, it looked the same and had the reputation of being very good, althoug...
