pc computer used under $500.00 for music only
Depending on the horsepower you need you can get a nice Atom based PC for less than $500. Zotac makes nice ones. Atom processors with hardware acceleration can easily handle 1080p movies let alone high res FLAC files. I personally use two of them ...
VAC 160iSE integrated with NOLA speakers
Thank you for the feedback. I am looking at the VAC integrated for my Sonus Faber Evolution monitors. My only concerned that my speakers require a lot of power to perform at their best. Ideally I would love to try SET but that is definitely out of...
Taralabs cables
Hi folks. Anyone here use Tara Labs digital cables? I am looking to upgrade but the Cable Co does not demo Tara cables. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz
Hi folks. I am in the market to replace my digital cable. After reading through this thread I only came across one person who has tried the HF CT-1 digital cable and that person was not impressed. I am wondering if anyone else has any experience t...

Rlb61, you say you have an alcove behind the listening position? So is your room 10x10 not including the alcove?

Rlb61, I agree with you about Vicoustic and bass trapping which is why I dont use them for that purpose. I am considering RealTraps or GIK now. My room is very similar in dimension to your except that my ceiling is 9 ft and the wall behind the lis...

Room acoustics are pretty ugly. Look into Vicoustic. It is the only product that I have found to have a decent sense of style to them. I use their absorption panels to treat the front wall behind my speakers. They have a lot of different products ...
Can we talk?
I used to own the Esoteric X-03 cdp and fell in love with the sound and more the technology. I promptly sold my X-03 and upgraded to the Esoteric P-03/D-05 separate transport and Dac combo. Let's just say the improvement in sound was not worth the...

Glai, so you suggest diffusing at the 1st reflection points? I always thought we want absorption??? I am also in a small space (10x11) so in my case should I use absorption or diffusion?
