audio physic virgo and valves
I use Virgo 111s with Audiopax 88s (30 watts)and love the combination.
Does anyone know someone who can modify Mesa Baron
Hi Rick,no idea about these amps but from fooling with the Audiopax, if you can use 12 AT7's as prior post, try some CV 455s. Some nos Mullard CV455s make the CV4204s? or whatever my Pax came with sound positively broken.Failing that the engineer ...
Wiring a subwoofer to monoblocks
All sorted, all singing. For anyone using lowish powered valve amps with speakersaround 89/91dB efficiency, I'd recommend trying a pair of cheap subs before ditching the speakers.
Wiring a subwoofer to monoblocks
Well this should have been a happy post! After picking up a second Quake and settingeverything up - sonic bliss. The two subs were harder to integrate than one, probably due to lack of space limiting their positions I think but the results were way ...
Wiring a subwoofer to monoblocks
Made up cables and hooked up the sub yesterday. Not expended much energy setting it up but already I'm over the moon with the results and can't wait to pick up another for a matching pair.Seems to let the amps really sing, opens everything up andre...

Thanks guyshowever the response from Al has me wondering.I'm in the uk and would have no chance of getting the Audiopax sorted if I have a mishap.I'll mail Audiopax but from past experience, won't hold my breath waiting for an answer - Where's Jim...
Audio Physic Scorpio II room problems
I agree with Outlier re some kind of isolation for the speakers. I first tried using Aurios between the speaker spikes and a hard floor. These sounded fantastic but having to use three sets was rather expensive.I have achieved almost as good result...
Audio Physic Scorpio II room problems
I have VIRGO 111s in a room smaller than yours.Mines are placed well out from the long wall, about a meter from the short side walls, toed in to the listening position. No other speaker I've tried works so well in my room. They also sound far better...

Preamp Deal of the Century
Eh, I'm hoping the troll bit didn't refer to me?Mick pointed me to a supplier in Australia but they don't seem to stock them so I'm still looking for a remote that accepts the 5 digit code and works with the Syrah? My Syrahs always worked faultless...
