Class D Amps - FM reception
The Nuforce made FM reception almost impossible. It messed with the Tivoli One of a friend of mine while auditioning the amp at home. This situation was a little better with a sSiltech shielded cable. Now some say that FM reception is not important...
Anyone using Nuforce Ref 9 Mono Blocks?
A friend of mine while auditioning the Nuforce 9SE at home, could not hear radio through is Tivoli One because of RFI problems caused by the amp. Reception was better when the NuForce was connected to AC through a shielded Siltech power cord. RFI ...
Who has heard Accuphase C2400 and C2800?
The diference between the C-2000 and the C-2400 are in their power supplies, parts quality and some other minor aspects like mechanichal and electromagnetic isolation.
Do Bridged Accuphase Amps Sound Better?
G4ronliu you are a lucky guy. The P-1000 is a terrific amp. It's a powerhouse, it's a beast in terms of current delivery. It can drive, almost, every speaker. If you want more power try the new P-7000 or the monoblocks M-8000, if the budget can stre...
Do Bridged Accuphase Amps Sound Better?
G4ronliu, how does your Sophias sound with the Accuphase.I think the Sophias are not a difficult load for the amp, another important factor is the size of your room, a big room needs more power.
Can Audio Physics be run on low power tubes?
A friend of mine wich has the VirgosIII, used to have a 30W Audiomat Opera. It was good in some aspect, but bass control was a problem. Because of this problem he changed is amp to a new 90W Audiomat Récital. Now he's happy. As the A'goners above w...
Accuphase CD players versus Naim CD players
Never heard the Accuphase DP-55V, but I own a DP-67, wich I like a lot and has great dynamics and impact. Today I've listened to a Bruckner symphony (nº 5), and it was a rewarding experience.Like the above replies said, look at your room and speak...
Kimber Select 1021 vs Nordost Red Dawn
I've tested this two cables at home in my system. the Kimber was the winner. And I bought it. The Kimber 1021 does everything the Nordost does and as better timbre definition, no dynamic restrain, it's a more natural cable, but with no vanilla.. Y...
Nuforce
I'm not a fan of digital amps, and they shure must evolve in order to obtain the same level of sound quality of a classic design. So, wait for the next iteraction, it will sound better. But this is no excuse for lousy engeneering, bad design, weak ...
Kimber makes my amp hum???
Yes the Kimber Select do not have shield, wich makes them more susceptible to noise, but have a lower capacitance compared to a shielded cable, wich is good soundwise. But then you are having a RFI problem. You must investigate if it's generated b...
Revisiting the Kimber KCAG
Tonyptony, you are correct the Kimber 1010 are on the warm side, but the Kimber 1021 is another history. I'm glad you like the AZ silver reference, its a wonderfull cable. Enjoy it. In the end if you are still having the "hardness problem" maybe t...
Revisiting the Kimber KCAG
I dont know much about the KCAG, but why dont you try one of the fine Kimber Select series. You would be suprise. Very natural sound, great dynamics and excellent build, IMO a step up from the KCAG.
Dartzeel amp lives up to hype
Jond, and the funny side is that we are talking about a pre that doesnt even exists. And the pre as been comercially anouced a long time: It´s all over the NET, wich shows that Jtinn really works hard. Great marketing!!! With this kind of producti...
