Snails?? Yes, wales and dolphins! Forgot about them!   Would still love to hear from a sound engineer about all of this! So fascinating!
Infrasound and the other one, not sure of the correct name?
Thank you! Duh. My brain isn’t as sharp as it used to be! Thank you God, my hearing is still good! Went for a hearing test, they were surprised a 52 y.o., could hear up to 14Khz. That’s pretty good! Ultrasonic. That’s it! But the infrasound, below...

How do you know when a stereo sounds good?
To me, it’s very simple. If I close my eyes, and “feel” the singer or the/a band is in the room with me! When the hairs on my neck go up, because it “seems” SO REAL!! That’s my answer. Rotel CD player, McIntosh amp, Bowers and Wilkins 804 speaker...

Oldhvymec “What does that mean?” Anyways, I LOVE ribbon speakers!!! Just have to mate them with a nice sub. They sound AWESOME! Except for the lack of bass response, those are full-range speakers, I was referring specifically to tweeters. I may be...

No romance, you are correct! I’d include those crap plastic tweeters as well! Mostly in car audio. I doubt you’d find plastic tweeters in any home audio speaker. I’m surprised nobody has responded to what I think is ridiculous! Using speaker cable...

Lowrider57, I bet you’ve got either a lead-sled, or a SWEET Harley or Indian! Anyways, how would I record the audio of the official video of: U2’s “The streets have no name”?? Only problem is the disk-jockey talking above the song about the AWESOM...

WOW! 1500+ views! I’m humbled! Thanks all! And, as a final note, I’m gonna buy a Japanese pressed CD of: The Joshua Tree, in the faint hopes, I can actually HEAR a better sound then the sonics of the song: The Streets have no name, on YouTube! Pat...

So, they have a 24K gold Mobile Fidelity copy, in “near mint” for $125.00. Ouch! And there is a German CD as well. A lot cheaper, obviously. My question is, it seems that, I believe CD318 saying it was mastered that way, to sound “muddy”. However,...
