| Do you start fine tuning the system with cables or tubes ? My 2 cents worth is to look at the volume potentiometer . If you have a cheap alps get a TKD. Cheap compared to tubes and expensive cables. If there is room get a pair of Duelund cast caps. I have done these 2 mods with outstanding success. | |

| I replaced the volume pot on my tube preamplifier. I replaced my pots both left and right in my Quicksilver Full Function Preamp with the TKD P65CS 100K. The results exceeded my expectation 10x's. The Alps were ok these are on a whole other level Well worth the trouble. | |
