Spatial Audio M4 Turbo S. Is its design competitive with other baffleless speakers?
@lowrider57 Yes, that’s me.Thanks for the shout out to my blog, and @sunnyjim,  I hope the information there is useful to you. The blog has both my original review of the M4 and my subsequent review of the M3 after trading up. I love both of them ...
Screaming bargains in DSD-capable DACs?
Thanks to all for your suggestions! Any other ideas?

@rbischoff You get what you pay for? 😕
Which Budget Speakers, Tekton or Omega?
@lowrider57 and @jond Thanks for the kind words on the review!
Which Budget Speakers, Tekton or Omega?
Someone may have mentioned this earlier in the thread, but both manufacturers offer a trial period, and I would suggest you take advantage of that to see how you like them in your room, with your associated equipment and your musical taste. I have...
My review of the Spatial M3 Turbo S open baffle speaker is finally live...
@mapman Nice to hear from you again, old friend. :-)I've had conversations with Clayton about amplification options. He has a partnership with Vinnie Rossi, whose LIO modular integrated amps he really likes and admires. But those seem to cost $500...

@winefix Thanks for the feedback, this is interesting to know. I am leaning toward an integrated amp, simply because I like the simplicity and convenience at this point. There was a time when I had  a pair of mono-block power amps, a separate prea...

@reubent I am not 100% sure that Clayton has a showroom, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did have a place where someone could listen. Best thing would be to give him a call – he likes talking to current and prospective customers.
Another Vandersteen model 2 question
I had the original, mid-1980s 2C - my first "real high end" gear. I am curious how the latest in the 2 series sounds. And whether the cosmetics (a matter of taste, of course) have improved.
Usability of Oppo BDP-93 without a monitor?
@bondmanp Exactly what I wanted to know, thanks.
Coherent Speakers from Canada
@rwanda Just discovered this thread; thanks for bringing this brand to our attention. I like the whole coaxial design principle, in general, and I'd love to hear them some day; sounds like a great match for SET amps.
Usability of Oppo BDP-93 without a monitor?
@stfoth - Makes sense, thanks!
Usability of Oppo BDP-93 without a monitor?
I do have one other question about this unit. If you choose to use an external DAC, do you lose the ability to play SACD’s or HDCD’s? In other words, I’m not clear where the circuitry to decode those formats "lives." Right now I have a Musical Fid...
“Invest” in Tekton?
I know that I am ridiculously late to the party on this one, but for whatever it’s worth, I can’t agree more emphatically with the truth that you simply can’t know how a given speaker is going to strike your fancy until you have heard it in your r...
Usability of Oppo BDP-93 without a monitor?
@stfoth and @chayro Thanks a lot for the feedback. I am wondering how you found the sound quality on this unit. I don't have any SACD's at this point but I do have a few HDCD's and having a "universal" player would open up some more possibilities....
