P300 Users: where do you place the unit?
I have mine on a dedicated shelf above the power apm below the pre-amp. With pre-amp and CD player connected it delivers about 110W, gets a bit warm but not too bad. Looks good, works fine. (Mine has no fan, no multiwave, outputs 110W at 90Hz 24/7...
XLR vs RCA
I am not an expert in this area, but here's what I know.In a single-ended setup, there is one wire which caries alle the audio signal, and the hield which is usually tied to ground. The shield is there to keep RF noise out. This solution is not 10...
How often do you upgrade your other passions?
Is buying new music an 'upgrade'? If so, I think there are probably few hobbies that go through as many 'upgrades' as this one. ;)
Has your system changed the music you listen to?
I guess for me it was organ music. I used to hate organ recordings, becuase they just never sounded right. As the system got better, especially the power amp and speakers, I found myself listening to organ music more often cause it sounded like it...

Headphones and amp questions
I have tried the Grados and Sennheisers with the XCan and XCan 2 amps, and did not like either combo that much. I finally settled on the 600s for phones and a Headroom Max for the amp. I have not yet found anything better.
Can an FM Tuner be "hot-rodded" long distance???
There are a couple of things you can do. Probably the simplest thing you can do is to get an RF amplifier which you can hookup between your antenna and your tuner. These can be had from Radio shack and the like, and may help. Next step would be to...

Do power conditioners really help?

You have a few options here, you already mentioned the option of a transformer. If you do this, you should probably consider a servo controlled variable transformer, which will ensure that any variances in the source voltage will not translate to ...
