| The HARD ROCK & HEAVY METAL Thread Continued Some of the heavy metal groups of the 60’s and 70’s actually had killer lyrics. Listen to Steppenwolf’s "Monster " album. It is timeless, at least as far as the USA is concerned. Loved the part "everybody’s got to be like us" .. https://www.youtub... | |
| Speakers for room size that provide greater detail. With a 10 K budget, I’d be lookin at a new set of Legacy Focas SE’s. Their a bit more expensive but your 2 subs with a set of Focas SE’s will FILL that room with precision dynamic sound, and their beautiful. We love ours and room size is similar. | |
| Which Record makes your system shine? It's not a record; it's the Eagles @ Melbourne Blu-ray video concert at concert levels. Better than being there. The separations, the dynamics, the impact, the harmony's, the guitars, the horns...just the over mix of the recording is the best. | |
| Anyone else prefer listening to their system more than a concert? tomcarr OP That's a bummer. I'm the same. Surprised at some of the best bands live recordings are so inferior | |

| Anyone else prefer listening to their system more than a concert? I built our Legacy Audio system with the full intent of duplicating live concerts. 10,000 watts. 1000 watt per channel mains (Focas SE’s w/Legacy I:V2), 600 per channel (Marquee Center, Phantom Sides, Deco Rears w/Legacy I:V5) for the Center, Side... | |

| What decibel level do you listen at? What is ideal? During video concerts, 113-115 db. Just like a REAL concert.... During movies, no idea, but its -18 to -20 on the volume of the Lyngdorf. The concerts are -2 to 2 above... | |
| Has anyone switched from Class AB/A to Class D? Was it better? Was it worse? I came from an AT 6007 Signature Series amp to class D Legacy Audio V:I Amplifiers. At the same time, I went from Marantz 8805 to a Lyngdorf MP-40 processor with Room Perfect. The ATI weighed hundreds, and the Legacy weighs much less, but does it ... | |

| Help me build up a jazz album collection. Can you suggest a must have album? I always seem to grab Alternating Currents by Spiro Gyro. Kind of a 'Happy" album. And well mixed. | |
