Matching the sensitivity of two amps for bi-amping
Thank you fellow audiophiles for your input. I didn't reply for a couple of days for the purpose of getting more opinions. It looks like the passive bi-amping is a contradictory approach. Will try to gain some experience by using amplifiers from f...
What preamp between Burmester and Krell?
Being aware of the difference in the output voltage of the amps I was told by knowledgable guys that the gain difference may be compensated and adjusted in a way that for all the amps would be possible to be ran by a single preamp without deterior...
What preamp between Burmester and Krell?
Just to make it clear. I don't intend to replace the Audio Note poweramps with Burmester. The idea is eventualy to use them both (all the 4 monos) in a biamping configuration. Audio Note for M?H and Burmester for more attack in the lows. That is w...
What preamp between Burmester and Krell?
Impressive unanimity. Tnx a lot. Best nikmilkov
What preamp between Burmester and Krell?
Sorry for the mistake. The Krell was a component of Class A, of course.
Recommendation for SS amp for biamping
Thank you Al. I am considering an upgrade of the amps too. Now I am looking at two Burmester monoblocks. Think they may be better than the entry level Audio Note.
Recommendation for SS amp for biamping
Not many options as I see. Just two ideas. Thank you so much. I thaught to use 2 Bel Canto ref 1000 M monoblocks for the bass. Is it good idea. They have 1000 W of power but are they punchy and agressive enough?
Cables for biwiring
@ AlmargAlmarg quoted: "The reason is the different way the signal moves through the wires depending on its specifications."And made a comment: "In technical terms, I have no idea what this means. Not sure that the person who made the statement do...
Cables for biwiring
"Put 10 audiophiles in a room to talk about cables and they will emerge with 11 different opinions." - The only clear cut conclusion coming to my mind as well. Perhaps in some setups the different cables may sound better. But there's one more impo...
Not a thread. A request for help about VS VR-6
In fact I registered at the specialized VSA forum in Audiocircle.com with the same question. Albert in person replied and asked for my e-mail. He wrote that he will try to restore some data from personal notes he is still keeping. Later on he sent...
Von Schweikert VR-6 or Wilson Audio Watt/Puppies 5
I was very interested of what Larry said so I investigated a bit in the forum. Larry is in the business indeed but I saw from his threads that in his CV he has experience of working for VSA. Perhaps the problem lies here.
Von Schweikert VR-6 or Wilson Audio Watt/Puppies 5
Duomike, Roscoeiii took my question. I am very interested, please.
Von Schweikert VR-6 or Wilson Audio Watt/Puppies 5
Thanx a lot. I think all of you guys are going the same direction. No more doubts. Remarquable and rare unanimity here in A-gon. Didn't think it is possible when audiophiles speak about components.
Von Schweikert VR-6 or Wilson Audio Watt/Puppies 5
Thanks for giving me tips. Will check about the service but frankly don't believe there is still any about the VS. For Wilsons would be easier. However it seems most of you tend to recommend the Schweikerts.
A change of speaker impedance; is it possible?
I knew it. It doesn't make real sense. However, now I know the reasons why. Thank you, guys, for your educational input.
