Rives Parc - does anyone have the BARE software
Hey easyaudio, Did you ever find the BARE software?  I can pick up a PARC pretty reasonably but I’m concerned about using it without the software. how hard is it to use with only the CD?   Any thoughts are appreciated before I make the purchase....
aavik vs Devialet
I recently purchased an Aavik U-300 to achieve an all Borrensen designed system (Raidho D1.1 speakers, Ansuz cabling, Ansuz Darkz resonance control and Ansuz mainz8 Diamond power conditioning). I previously used 2 Devialet Expert 200’s in a mono c...
Suggestions for a streamer only (I have a great DAC)
Hey Guys, Thanks so much for all the great advice and suggestions.  I have a wonderful foundation for my search.   I will take the next few weeks to try and acquire many of the recommended streamers (and look into Roon) to make a decision.   ...
Suggestions for a streamer only (I have a great DAC)
ghdprentice …. Good question. Perhaps  I haven’t heard a really good streamer? The Lumin T-1 that I listened to for a while just couldn’t match the sound (to my ears) of the Esoteric & clock on red book CD. I used the Lumin via Tidal (non MQA)...

Andy, Truly appreciate the comments.  I looked up the Theoretica (hadn’t heard of it) really sounds interesting. Obviously, a significant investment …. was it a real game changer?   I have been looking for a dCS Bridge for a little while, withou...

One other note ….. A friend mentioned that he was very impressed with an Innous Zen Mk 3. Any thoughts/experiences with Innuos?
Suggestions for a streamer only (I have a great DAC)
Hey guys, As always, thanks for all the input!  I guess providing a little more insight into my system and how I will use the “streamer” would help.   First of all, I have simplified my main system over the past year.  Got rid of a good analog ...

Wow ... kqvkq9 actually takes the time to make a very informed, lengthy and relevant post and spin4cards calls him names and hurls uncalled for insults.1. I hope the moderator does take out the trash (spin4cards)2. If the moderator doesn’t take do...
Pathos and Dynaudio
I agree with Czarivey. I have owned the Pathos and it doesn't have the power or authority to drive the C4's properly (unless it is a very small room and you like to listen at low levels)
Looking to hear from Thor owners
Mcpherson.....just thought I would give an update on another potential speaker match. I was able to buy a pair of the TPA-30's (locally for great price)....had a pair of them before, but sold to get more power. Now I'm back because I couldn't get ...
Looking to hear from Thor owners
Hi Jayson,With the TPA-30's I used SAP Audio Quartettes. They are not very well known, only a few retailers, but they are made in Italy and are beautifully crafted speakers. They were made for lower powered amps (espcially tubes) and were a wonder...
Tube Preamp/solid pwr amp or solid pre/ tube pwr
My personal preference, after years of enjoying a large selection of tube and ss components, is a tube pre and a solid state amp. I tend to spend the most money on my preamp and have found that top end tube pre's have been extraordinarily quiet wh...
Looking to hear from Thor owners
Hi Guys,Just saw the recent thread and thought I would throw in my two cents (about ugrading to higher power amps). I have a TA-1000 Mk 2 preamp, TA-3000 Mk 2 phono amp and used to have the TPA-30's. Of course, they all sounded great together, but...
Thor TA-1000 MK 2 pre and Aleph amps Os, 2, 5
Hi Bob,I used to live in Naperville but moved to Tinley Park a few years ago (but still in the greater Chicagoland area). I really like the Thor linestage, probably the one component that has not changed in the last 6 years or so, but if I do deci...
