WAVE KINETICS NVS Reference Turntable
#4. I assume the platter functions like in the Classic Direct as the rotor and can't be separated. But why is that important?

You are better off getting the software from Feickert. I could never get it, despite repeated requests, from Avatar Acoustics.

Wet Cleaning the Stylus
@Doug One thing Peter Ledermann points out is that ROH containing stylus cleaning fluids can chill/freeze the glue bonding the stylus to the cantilever and cause damage. You also don't know if you're really cleaning all of the stylus with a liquid...
VPI Classic 1 Cueing Problem
You may find that raising the lever as you've done and rotating it slightly clockwise will cure your problem. Then you may have to readjust the lift height again.

About the new LSC reissues by Analogue Productions
It's a pretty good bet that one of the reasons Sterling Sound is doing the mastering is that they're the only studio RCA trusts with the original 3 track tapes. The Chesky releases were variable. Some LPs were cut from the original three track mas...
VPI is Introducing a high-end Direct Drive Table
Doug I think it's better said that the motor is based on a Navy design. With today's cost cutting (just as what happened at the end of Star Wars), many military hardware manufacturers are looking for other civilian uses for their technology.
