Oppo BDP-105 Region Free
Forgot to mention it's jumped form $30 when I bought mine to $58; but still a steal compared with what the mod companies charge.
Oppo BDP-105 Region Free
There is a region free AND ISO hardware hack on ebay that just plugs into 2 ports. Works flawlessly with the 95, & is said to work identically on the 105.

Problem with my P-10 are 2 belts. Diagnosis was cheap, parts are super cheap; only problem is it takes the only authorized parts supplier over a month to ship out 2 belts. They couldn't give me an exact ship date, but said it would be more then a ...

I found someone (Northwest Audio) who without seeing it, is guessing it would be an easy fix ($100-$300) & is going to diagnose at no charge. I will be very happy if that’s the case.Re streaming; I am going file on most new music & loading...

FYI: The ONLY reason I compared Esoteric & Oppo is those are the only 2 digital front ends I have owned in years; & what I wrote is my experience in owning both. The P-10 was a stunning transport for it’s time; to my ears it sounded much b...

Geekpulse $300 Hi-Res DAC
They never responded to the email I sent with a couple questions. I plan to call them next week. I have a strong hesitation of buying gear I've never heard just based on the hype. This item could potentially solve some problems for me, which is wh...
Is the Oppo-105 with Modwright modifications
I love my 95. Best Sonic VALUE I've ever purchased. I am using an aftermarket power cord, but no mods other than a region free kit.Question: did they get rid of the 1-2 seconds of silence between flac files on the 105 (the one thing I don't like a...
Inexpensive USB DAC
I started a new thread on this that will hopefully be approved, but any thoughts on the Geek Pulse?
External HD VS Flash Drive Sound Quality Question
I learned last night that the 95 will not play raw dsf files (I dl'd a couple free samples from Bluecoast & the BDP-95 wouldn't even acknowledge their existence on the flash drive). It will play them after they've been converted by Foobar, but...

"Aara" should have read "Tara"; I spent 10 minutes proofing hat post but it wasn't enough..........
External HD VS Flash Drive Sound Quality Question
Especially in different systems. Though something interesting: The other night I got the chance to compare on my system (Oppo 95 McCormack Line Drive Deluxe, MoCormack DNA 1 ("mod 1" done by CJ), NHT 2.5-I's & old style Quality Aara Cables (Om...
