Cat jumped on turntable
Dynavector has a re-build service  for Karat as long as it was purchased from an authorized dealer.  Check with a Dynavector dealer. The rebuild includes tip, cantilever and suspension.
Upgrade cartridge or turntable?
As a frustrated and another former  Rega RP3 owner, I would unabashedly recommend a different turntable.  Aside from any isolation issues, the lack of an easy VTA adjustment for different cartridges is just plain arrogant.  Some <$600 turntable...
Recommend speakers for a large living room
https://www.muraudio.com/sp1 I heard these Hybrid Electrostatics at AXPONA and they were excellent. With curved panels, dispersion and imaging were magnificent.  As I recall, they were well under your maximum.  Low WAF if I had to guess but the so...
Integrated Amp Advice - Rogue Sphinx or Peachtree nova150?
I owned a Peachtree Nova, I think it was @ 80wpc. Very solid amp punching well outside its weight. It’s been a few years but I recall it was slightly “rough around the edges” to my ears. My main amp was a Primaluna tube integrated though. Recently...
PRIMA LUNA DIALOGUE PREMIUM - 20 minutes and then loud pop and buzzing in 1 channel
I own the PL Dialogue Premium Integrated amp and experienced something similar but not the same.  It DID turn out to be a bad 12AU7. PL suggests a specific process in my manual.  When I first switched a few tubes it wasn’t in the logical process P...

PRIMA LUNA AMPLIFIERS
I’ve owned my PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium for almost three and a half years with zero issues.   Tube rolling easy as pie.
Class D is affordable and sounds as good or better the SS/Valve why buy anything else ?
Hope to meet some of you folks at AXPONA.

@jimclarkstereo  , @sthlm and @atmasphere , thanks for your posts!  Very informative and helpful for me.  It only took me 40 years to get to tubes, and I hear their benefits, but I do occasionally miss my Musical Fidelity M6i.

I wouldn’t spend the dollars for an amplifier that delivers high current into a 2ohm load when there’s no need. If I go anywhere up the line with loudspeakers, it will be for higher efficiency loudspeakers where my tubes would be just fine.  Tryin...

Hi George @georgehifi ,  thanks for your comments.  Current requirements I get and owned several SS high current amps. My tube integrated has some serious iron and power supplies and current and sounds great.  But it does run out of gas playing Fl...

After many years I finally settled on tubes, listening to my PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium with KT88 power tubes/38wpc.  Most of my listening is done at reasonable levels through a pair of not-so-efficient Spendor A6’s.  But I’m intrigued by some of ...
How much difference will a phono stage upgrade make?
Every move in the phono stage link has made a big difference, positive and/negative. I’m currently using a Musical Surroundings Phonomena ii which I like a lot and is VERY flexible for just about any cart you throw at it.  There’s a ii+ out now.
