Amplifier for Sonus Faber Cremona M
Thanks guys for your responses so far. I made the mistake of saying McIntosh 6900, I meant to say 6600. Anyways, the 6900 would be great too if I could find a nice used one.@Stevecham, The B&W's were hooked up to by far the nicest McIntosh gea...
Lin Majik Vs Audio Analogue Puccini? / integrated
Depends on your taste in sound. Linn is quicker, lighter and more agile sounding but a little thinner and brighter. AA is more smooth, dense, rounded, but a little slower sounding. What speakers are you using?
Arcam vs NAD, Should I just get something else?
These would be my top choices.Roksan K2 ($1925)Did not hear this one but I read all the reviews and almost bought it. Won many awards and great reviews in the English magazines and also in Stereophile. Warm and big sounding. 125watts. Type in Tech...
Joseph Audio RM7XL
One other thing I forgot to mention. Just write an email to Joseph Audio and give them your serial numbers. Tell them your concerns. They should be able to give you a history of the pair.
Joseph Audio RM7XL
Hi,That's too bad. Maybe you have a refurbished pair? All the veneers I have seen on Joseph speakers look pretty good to me. As good as Dynaudio. I can't speak for the screws though. It is a smaller company than the others. I am sure they do not h...
How many enjoy low $ second system sound?
Hi Polk432,I recently bought a Linn Classic Music, the newer one with Chakra amp in it. Sounds great. Looking to replace my Proacs and I heard a pair of used Katans for sale at my local dealer. How do you like them? I liked them a lot, they were v...
Rega Brio-R Break-in time.
That is interesting. Not sure if people are just hearing differently or perhaps I didn't let it in burn in long enough? I played it a few hours everyday for about 5 weeks. So I don't know. I ended up selling mine on here. One thing that did help w...
Rega Brio-R Break-in time.
The Bach's are really nice speakers. I personally don't think the Rega is a good match up for Vienna speakers. For $500-1000. That's a tough one. You want something powerful, yet smooth and clear for the Vienna's. If you can find a used Primare I2...

Rega RS1 speakers compatible with Yamaha receiver?
I think the match up should be fine. You can keep the Rega RS1's and then buy the Brio-R sometime if you ever want to upgrade. I wouldn't worry about a power conditioner right now. Save your money for the Brio-R. The power conditioner filters out ...
The most beautiful Integrated Tube amp?
I think tube integrated amps from Synthesis Audio Italy. For the prices they sell for I can't think of better looking ones. 2-3K. I also like the look of the Almarro 318.
Integrated Amp recommendation
Another suggestion is to look into the new Yamaha A-S500 and A-S700 integrated amps. They have everything you are looking for. Tone controls and variable loudness. They have been getting good reviews in the British press.
$2000 speaker help
I agree with Polk432. In fact there are many audiophiles who would say upstream is the most important. To me Upstream is at least just as important as the others. It is all about putting together a complete system and having good system synergy. Yo...
Are all Linn products made in Scotland?
Almost 11 years on this site now with not one problem form anyone. Ask one simple question about where Linn products are made and the circus monkeys come out. It is funny how most did not contribute anything on this thread and when I call them on ...
Integrated Amp recommendation
I am partial to British integrated amps like the Roksan K2 would work nice. It sells for $1925.But to be honest I think I would go for the NAD 375 and save some money. It will work great with your Polks. Or if you want a tuner get the NAD receiver.
