I do have a preamp I can use.  I haven't been using it, or thinking about it I guess, because I haven't needed it.  That's obviously changed.  I doubt very much it will make enough difference but I'm looking to bypass the built-in preamp in the De...

Thanks much to everyone who's taken the time to be helpful.  I very much appreciate it and am starting to get some ideas.  The Denon turntable definitely will go back.  I might leave the credit I've got with Crutchfield and go where I can get some...

Thanks for replying! The turntable has a preamp already built in so it does "work" with the Sonos. And, yes, it was inexpensive.  Having no recent experience with turntables I guess I was hoping it wasn't also cheap.  I paid just over $200, and ...
