Garrard 60hz Strobed platter
Thank you all who took  the time to read my post and had some useful insight to provide. An update to this post; I was able to source an original Garrard 60hz strobed platter that will be here sometime next week. I also picked up a keystrobe light...
Garrard 60hz Strobed platter
Currently, I have the original, non strobed platter. Admittedly, I like the aesthetics of that warm orange glow.
PSB - Stratus Gold(i) vs Totem Acoustic - Sky towers
I live in Southern California, and if anyone is interested in a "close to mint as a 25 year old can be", pair of PSB Golds, reach out to me. I am the original and only owner and they are in black ash. The tweeters were sent to Paul at PSB around f...
Opportunity
Don't be lured by the attractive, "percentage off". Yes, B&W have their fan base, but the majority of those that have either auditioned or owned them, find their sound harsh and fatiguing. Caveat emptor!
Budget tower speakers that rock!
I have a pair of near mint condition PSB Gold in black ash. I am in Los Angeles if the OP is close and wishes to hear them. I am the original owner...they never been out of my home.

Third vote for PSB Stratus Gold(not the i model). Excellent sonics top to bottom end, and your amp will overheat before these give out.
Speaker upgrade
If you are seriously considering speakers north of $25K, TAD should be on your audition list. Far more engaging and musical than that of Magico, Wilson, and Rockport. The VR55's, however, are something special.
Sorry, it’s not me, it’s you?
One of my first forays into high(er) end audio was with the Luxman R-115...still have it for posterity reasons, but it has been packed away for nearly 20 years. Since then there have been dozens of ever more expensive pieces swapped in and out, bu...
Mac 611's
If you are sticking with Mac, yes, the 601's will serve you brilliantly. And save you money, as I see several pair here and on USaudio. Long ago, I went from the MC300, to the MC501, then to the 601's...hard to do better without paying up. I have ...
Used McIntosh Amp or better new options out there? - Amplifier or Integrated
@stereo5 As you can probably discern, I am not looking to be combative, far too many of those types trolling the waters. At the end of the day, most of us agree that our little esoteric hobby is purely subjective to the individual. If what you are...
Used McIntosh Amp or better new options out there? - Amplifier or Integrated
@stereo5,I am speaking for myself and the 95% of former Mac owners who have moved on. Said for some vintage Luxman gear that was gifted to me in my early adulthood, Mac was the first piece of "expensive" gear I coveted and took the plunge with. I ...
Used McIntosh Amp or better new options out there? - Amplifier or Integrated
90% of this who long coveted those big blue meters, scratched that itch and moved on. Impressive as they are aesthetically, you will eventually do better sonically...I certainly did.
Pass labs x250.8 or Coda Continuum 8
I would argue the contrary. I have owned both the Pass XA60.8 and the XA160.8, and now have the Coda Model 16. Coda surpasses the Pass in all categories you mention, and is on par with Pass in customer service. Check Terry London's reviews of both...

Selecting Preamp for MC452 amp seeking most enjoyable experience possible in price range
Referencing a few points listed prior: you are always going to on the audio merry-go-round until you consider a speaker change. Even as warm and syrupy as Mac gear tends to be, the harsh B&W sound will still prevail. Consider a pair of Focal S...
