| Will 12AX7 tubes in phono and line amp last longer than 12AU7 driver tubes ? I would say keeping at least one 12AX7 and three 12AU7. When the 12AU7 in the driver circuit fail on one channel, I would say it is better to replace the 12AU7 for both channels. Johnny | |

| Need help on Jadis JP-80 The burnt diodes in the power supply should be "zener diode" which provides the reference voltage for the regulator. Looks like they are identical. You may remove the other one in better shape to look for the part number printed on it. Johnny | |

| Upgrading specific components in a tube amplifier I upgraded my 45, 2A3, 300B, and 845 SE amps cathode RC circuit with transistor/MOSFET shunt regulator circuit. I can now adjust the cathode bias voltage for the power tubes. The sound quality improves significant with superb clarity. Real cool. | |
