Review: DCM TimeWindow 1 Speaker
Does anyone know if they used the same drivers on both the Time Windows and Time Frames? TIA.
Gallo REfF3's-All their cracked up to be?
Rolloff, they are not attached, I do have some threaded screw from the bottom of the speakers to the holes on top of the stands to prevent shaking or knocking off since I'm in earthquake territory.

Dave, don't want to hijack this thread and get off-topic, so I'll e-mail you and get you a photo later. I haven't receive the stands yet, so I don't want to be too premature with my assessment.
Gallo REfF3's-All their cracked up to be?
Regarding the SA , I haven't heard it, but given the same price, would it make more sense to get a seperate subwoofer? I would think that the 2nd voice call would add more resonance to the whole unit as oppose to a seperate sub unit away from the ...
Anyone ever try ear candles for better listening?
They talk about here :http://www.audiocircle.com/circles/viewtopic.php?t=19868&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=candle&start=0
What don't you like about these speakers?
Hi Tgrisham, I currently own the 3.1's and am a former Magnepan 3.6 owner. If you want a little more perspective see my post here, about 4 down:http://www.audiocircle.com/circles/viewtopic.php?t=25345&highlight=To address mrtennis, the Gallo's...
Chinese Speaker Prices
I believe Usher speakers are made in Taiwan. Aurum Cantus speakers are made in China, very nice G2 ribbon tweeters, some say one of the best tweeters around. There are a lot of equipment brands, you might check out nysound.com to get an idea of wh...
Do you know of small speakers that sound ''BIG'' ?
Check out the Gallo Micro and A'Divas as well as the Orb speakers. Can't get any smaller then these and they do sound bigger then they look. I think it much have something to do with the spherical enclosure and baffleless design. Even though they ...
LEAD SHOT OR NOT?
Agree with Jaybo, don't use anything leaded, lot of other alternatives that do the job without the health risk.
Chinese Loudspeakers ARE GOOD
Hmm, this thread heading baited me to ask the question, how's the Aurum Cantus Leisure 2 SE? I'm more of a planar guy and am intrigue by the ribbon tweeter.
Top resale value speakers
I sold a 5 year old Magnepan 3.6 for $3,000, I paid $4,100, excellent resale value considering it seems like most used speakers go for about 60% of retail.
What speakers can make a convert of Maggie lovers?
Had the 3.6's for 5 years before selling them for the Gallo Ref3.1's, they perform and do everything you describe that you want. They just don't have the expansive sound of panels if that's what you're use to. But the Gallo's to be properly played...
Preamp for Bryston 3BST / Magnepan MG1.6QR
Going tube or hybrid with the Bryston and Maggies is the way to go. Some used ARC pre and play with tube rolling could be quite revealing. Check out the Marsh P2000t, quite a performer for the price.
