Power Bar with IEC
I found what I wanted it called the Eichman Express power strip. A good deal at 50 bucks with 6 hospital grade plugs.
Subsonics with Grado & Rega Arm
Not sure I understand what you mean
Grado Reference vs Benz Glider and H2
Sounds like the H2 is worth an audition perhaps I will try it and see if it a suitable replacement for my Grado Reference.
Subsonics with Grado & Rega Arm
After doing some calculations the Grado cartridge resonance with the Rega arm is 8.4Hz. When one takes into consideration the heavier after market counterweight I use the Frequency will drop even lower beacuse the arms effective mass will increase...
Subsonics with Grado & Rega Arm
Thanks StefanlThats exactly what I was thinking a Haddcock or Morch with interchangable arms wands could be ideal. What about a used SME such as the 3009.anyone?
Subsonics with Grado & Rega Arm
Hi SdCampbellThanks for your reply. I did consider that as a possiblity but quickly changed my mind. I get serious woofer bounce even at the start or end of a record when no music is playing and thus no vibrations could be affecting the table.Ther...
Subsonics with Grado & Rega Arm
I don't get hum it's definetly subsonic vibration which is why I'm inquiring about tonearms that are compatable with the wooden grados and perform as good or better than my modded RB300
Wish me luck
When taking into account cost vs performance a modified EAR834P is very hard to beat. I love my tweaked up EAR834P it is definetly worth the effort to do you won't regret it.
Subsonics with Grado & Rega Arm
Hi ThereThe table is a spring suspended Logic DM101 similar to a Linn. It rests on the cement floor on cement blocks with inverted cones underneath.I've checked tracking force, cartridge alignment and table levelling many times. When I say subsoni...
Tonearm Suggestions
Hi MarakanetzI"m not sure I follow you perhaps you could elaborate. My table doesn't have an armboard it is connected directly to the subchassis. The subchassis is made of metal and also contains the bearing housing making it quite heavy.
Tonearm Suggestions
Hi paulyThanks for the suggestions when you say the Morch out performs a Rega do you mean a modified version.Mine has vdh wire, cardas clips, vta adjuster and heavyweight. Also is the Morch suitable for a suspended table?
Grado Reference vs Benz Glider and H2
Hi Doublebass;I get subsonics on every record with the Rega arm. Apparently the Grados excel with low mass arms how do you like your Grado Ref/Moerch combination?I've also been looking at the Haddock but don't know if its suited for a suspended deck.
Tonearm Suggestions
es the turntable is suspended so weight will be an issue.
Grado Reference vs Benz Glider and H2
I just did a quick calculation to measure tonearm/cartridge matching with the Rega arm and Grado Reference and got a number of 8.38Hz.Keeping in mind I use a heavier drop counterweight and therefore effective mass is added upon I believe I'm below...
