Damping Factor of Muscal Fidelity A3cr
Argent, no luck on the A3cr Damping Factor. I checked Stereophile's web site with no luck. They had a review on the Nu-Vista 300 amp (no Damping Factor in the review for that amp either). I also checked Audio Advisor with no luck. I found the Musi...

Argent, Thanks, I'm gonna try them and see. Looking to upgrade my amp next and there are quite a few awesome amps to choose from.
My 4B-ST runs Hot
Mullen, glad to hear you love your Legacy's. My wife and I love ours also. An increadible improvement over the Kappa's. Hoping Argent finds out his problem. I'm starting to upgrade and am considering the same amp he is running. Hey, us Legacy owne...
My 4B-ST runs Hot
Argent, I'm not familiar with the speakers that you have, but, if they aren't very sensitive or dip into the low ohm range (1-3 ohm) they can make your amp run pretty hot. Especially if you like to listen to your music quite loud. I used to have a...

Speaker punishing bass
I'll second Doug28450's recommend. Telarc 1812 on vinyl. Don't know the hz. reading on this vinyl version, but if you don't have a good tonearm-cartridge combo... good luck tracking this LP.
Is Paypal safe?
Haven't had any problems so far. Every now and then their site is hard to access... maybe high traffic?

Amp suggestion for Legacy Focus
I do have a digital source, it's also the Yamaha CDX1000U model. I will be upgrading this also at a later date, or maybe sooner. You definitely have my attention on upgrading the sources first. I'm going to give the upgrading the source first more...
Ethics of last minute auction "poaching"
Subaruguru, Your post brings back some fond memories of my father taking my brother and I to Jimmy Spear's Auto Auction in Orlando, Fl. in the late 60's early 70's. Pop had a used car lot and would take us to the auction with him. My brother and I...
Amp suggestion for Legacy Focus
Sean, I was wondering about that. It seems there are two schools of thought regarding which way to go on up-grading components, front to back or back to front in the signal chain. As Jmcgrogan2 says, the focus can be a little strong on the top end...

Murphy s Laws for Audiophiles
Here's a one for you. You will get negative ratings on your posts, not because it stunk, but because someone has a hard-on for you! I'm not sure if that's Murphy's Law, but, it should be named after someone!
Ethics of last minute auction "poaching"
Just as those persons inflate their merchandise up for sale, I would like to know how to vote for myself on these threads and erase my 2 negatives on the last post. Ha! Ha! Ha! Just kidding.
Ethics of last minute auction "poaching"
Blbloom, I agree in that text. I didn't mean a seller inflating his own auction. I meant it in the text of the person who started the thread. Losing an item because of a last minute poacher is well within the rules of an auction! Sorry I wasn't CL...
