Is 9'x11' too small?
Thanks for your thoughts everyone! I am getting excited about this possibilty now, I was thinking I would be getting an opposite reaction! I drew up a potential floor plan and posted it here: http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?vopin&11064...
Is 9'x11' too small?
Kehut, thanks for your response. I would probably stick with Totem, but move to the Arro or Mite if I move to the smaller room. I think they would be less likely to interact with the room of this size than the Tabu.
Cayin TA-30, which CD player you using with it?
Cairn Fog v.2 - see system.
PrimaLuna ProLogue One versus Two
Did the Two lose any 'musicality' that the One may have possesed? What speakers where you driving when making your comparison?
Best Stand for Totem Model Ones
I use Osiris stands with my Totem Tabu's. Work great! One peice, welded design, sand/shot fillable, but they have quite a bit of mass on their own as well. With any stand on a wood floor, you should put metal receptor discs between the spikes and ...
CD Player for Halo/Totem setup
I have run a Cairn Fog v.2 with upsampling with various amps, and always Totem Tabu's at the end with pleasant results. This can be found used in your price range, and I found it to be the top performer in it's price class. At it's used price, it'...

Hybrid or tube int?
I am driving a pair of Totem Tabu's (86db 6ohm), similar drivers, with an un-modded Cayin TA-30 with good results. The Cayin is very similar in design to the PrimaLuna, and I am either upgrading to a PrimaLuna or getting a modded Cayin in the near...
Cairn Fog vs. Audio Aero Prima?
David, thanks for your thoughts! I had the Cairn paired with a Nanda preamp and Mea monoblocks for awhile, but have recently discovered tubes and started to read about the Audio Aero. I am hoping to listen to one soon. The Cairn is a great player,...
OK time for Christmas Music
Aceto, If you are referring to 'Navidad', I haven't picked it up, but now that you mention it, it might be a good idea? ;)The English 'Christmas' version is beautiful though, I can only imagine that 'Navidad' would be as beautiful, if not more?
OK time for Christmas Music
We have quite a few Christmas CD's, but nothing hits the tray more than:Jaci Velasquez - Christmas
dear lord, i need help...
I would second the Totem Tabu. While not the bass of the Mani-2, the capacitor-less design and more 'air' in the presentation, it was was preference for a monitor that had suprising bass capability for it's size.

The Best Inexpensive Wines Available Now
Cpdunn99. Hogue is the Winery. They make both a Johannesburg Reisling as well as their 'Late Harvest'. The Late Harvest is superb IMO.
What are your favorite monitors?
Totem Tabu, something about that 'capacitor-less' design just draws me in... excellent monitor IMO.
