Cars. What does the typical audiophile drive?
As some of you know I moved to Oregon about 18 months ago and found a thriving audiophile community, surprising given the population. I've been distracted of late, I bought a Porsche Cayman coupe in July and the first thing I did was change out th...
Nitty Gritty 1.5Fi vs. VPI HW16.5vs. Okki Nokki
I sold my Nitty Gritty 1.5FS in favor of a VPI 16.5The NG's advantage is it applies the fluid on the record for you with a simple push of a button, whereas the VPI is a manual process (squirt some fluid on, work it in with the supplied brush). I a...

Furutech Acoustic panel room Diffuser?
I did not contact Elite since I bought the panels from the Canadian distributor, I've since moved to the U.S. It wouldn't be fair to drag Scot into this, but I have followed up directly with the distributor I bought the panels from in Canada, and ...

My company moved our email to the cloud six months ago, I suspect our website and other stuff is next (maybe it already is?). Before we were cloud based I would have to initiate a VPN connection then open Outlook, the cloud-master means I don't ne...

$2000 Budget for a speaker + integrated amplifier

Why Don't We See More High Current Electronics?
Current matters when you're driving difficult loads, and as Tvad mentioned, there's no real drawback. I value systems as follows: source=>preamp=>amp=>speakers. There's a ton of excellent speakers that are hard to drive (I've owned Apogee...
Why Don't We See More High Current Electronics?
Well, in my experience I haven't come across high current amplifiers that double down and sound anything less than stellar. If an amp cannot double down I'll pass on it...why limit your choice of speakers due to challenging impedance loads and such?
Work a nice tube integrated amp into my system?

Why the obsession with the lowest octave
As a card-carrying male I agree with Elizabeth, I'm happy to be considered a stereotype:Football, fast cars, big tits, curvy ass babes, big stereos Amen!! Sub sonic bass? Not my thing, I'm all about an accurate/holographic mid-range for the most p...
