Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
@tektondesign your bashing other brands and getting personal was not a good look by any standards but we can all have our opinions.
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
@tektondesign I read your comments and I am sad to say: you have caused a lot of damage to the Tekton brand. And I have no stake in being pro or against Tekton, I know some people who love it so they must be decent speakers.
Turntable prices. Is my mind going?
@tomic601 +1 I used to get into this "rich people" generalization arguments but it's a waste of time. The cool thing is we can ALL enjoy music - quality and quantity-wise so much better these days, regardless of our budget. It's affordable and av...

looking at the photo, I am confused. To say it is not conducive to good imaging, clarity, etc. would be putting it lightly. Imaging the soundstage as a plume or a pear. Your screens, your desks slice up that plume and you won't get much out of you...

@ilikeclassical in the 10K range I have no experience. But I can tell you what I like in general based on demos, and what are neutral or warm (and again the 10K dudes: https://speakerchoices.com/?pricemin=7000&pricemax=14000) Dynaudio, Ha...

@ilikeclassical I always thought of the KEFs as too bright, not warm, and I am fond of warm. I would say they are so detailed, they would work well for classical music. The brand itself is fantastic, a lot of bang for the buck in comparison with p...

@yyzsantabarbara I don't have an office system per se, I have one room and I do have 2 places to listen, one being my desk much like the above setup all the way across except my room is about 10'x20'. I do not like the sound when I am not facing t...

if your price range is around 10K here is a list https://speakerchoices.com/?pricemin=7000&pricemax=12000 if you don't need high volume I would go with very high quality bookshelf speakers - definitely NOT behind you.
My end game speaks.
here is a few more between 15 and 45K https://speakerchoices.com/?pricemin=15000&pricemax=40000

choosing a speaker for 10s of 1000s based on strangers' input seems unusual to me, I would also suggest hearing them first.

Turntable Isolation
@dogberry so if I stay outside of the box, and I let Brian Wilson do the raking, I should be good?
