What just happened to accepting Paypal?? looks like they are trying to drive us away
another vote against A'gon....and I am not sure I agree with others who blame Paypal..... While there maybe something that paypal is driving at....I  don't believe A'gon is just an innocent bystander.I can still use Paypal on US Audiomart and many...
Spikes for very heavy speakers
only where the equipment rests is bare floor..... rest is carpeted.....I know....I know... this would be some crazy echo chamber if it was all concrete
Spikes for very heavy speakers
Just to clarify - my current question and concern is around feasibility of spikes "biting" into concrete. My last speakers were 95lbs....and I had no problem resting them on spikes but now I am just not sure if 4 tiny points holding 215 lbs against...
Matching Tubes
OK...thank you !!Never really understood this business with biasing.....like you said...if amp calls for 65mV and I get the tubes perfect right on 65....then why is everyone making so much stink about making sure all tubes are matched ??The curren...
Matching Tubes
yes - it’s ARC Ref 75SE and there is no issue to bias the tubes and the bias is stable..... I was just wondering with all the discussions about ALWAYS matching all the tubes etc....They also sent me yet another pair that is much closer to the firs...
Recommendation for specific amp (must have 110 /220V) switch
yogiboy - I stand corrected....apparently there are some V-converters that are relatively manageable in size and price and are rated up to 5000W - which in theory should be enough to run an amp.... However, I am reading mixed reviews on them....an...
Recommendation for specific amp (must have 110 /220V) switch
voltage converter for an amp ???Dude....I am not sure they make one that could handle a decent power amp.... they are rated for small electronics...anything for a 100wpc tube amp or class A amp would probably be the size of the amp itself and run ...

Question about streamer to "serve" 2 systems
thank you maxwave - this looks like perfect solution.Another part of my questions - what is the general opinion of the Wadia M310 here? the list price and features (No DSD) was such that many people felt this is not good offering but I also unders...
Question about streamer to "serve" 2 systems
New speakers (wireless or otherwise) are out.I already have full HT setup in the Living Room and speakers going to other zones from the SONY receiver. Thus I was hoping to simply buy one new item (streamer) that could "send" the music to either my ...
Question about streamer to "serve" 2 systems
Thanks for the tip.... Just looked it up...never heard of this... however, not sure how that would work since the Node doesn't actually store any files.... I would like to be able to access my ripped CDs from my Living Room.... Can the Node accept...
Question about streamer to "serve" 2 systems
I think I just answered one of my questions....seems that TOSLINK connections shouldn't exceed 30ft.... so that may be too short.AS mentioned....my main stereo system is in my basement which is under my Living room and I already have some cables r...
Voltage delta between speakers
ok... so my real point was...did anyone actually tested their systems and noticed this variability between channels ?I want to be sure this is "normal...."I wonder if that could also be somehow due to pre-amp or amp....even though CDPlayer change ...
Reco for a low power amp to try
thanks guys !Rob - fair point about the speakers.....I know that for low powered amps, horns or electrostatics - anything very sensitive is a must.... however, for now I am really happy with my ProAc Response D30R..... so this will have to stay fo...
