"What's Your Best Price?"
I feel that when a seller posts an asking price it is legitimate to expect a potential buyer to make a "real offer". By "real offer" I mean a specific dollar value and what it includes or does not include (e.g. shipping, PayPal, etc).
Equipment not worth fixing, what to do?
Maybe you are not ready to take this step yet and maybe it won't work where you live. But I will post this in case it is helpful to someone else.In California, Goodwill will accept and recycle e-waste. There is no charge. That is the fastest and e...
Tact 2.2 XP: which configuration to get?
Horacio,If you would like some help from long-time TacT users do a search for Yahoo Users Groups for TacT Audio and TheRealTactHackers. I would post the links here but every time I have tried it my post never passes the powers that be. I tried it ...
Tact 2.2 XP: which configuration to get?
My experience is with a 2.2X not the XP so there might be some differences. If I understand your post correctly you are considering using an internal TacT DAC card for your subs and an external DAC with volume control for your main speakers. This ...

Best Amp to drive my Apogee Stages?
Vince, I never mentioned the KSA 100 or my opinion of its performance. In fact, I have never heard the amp in any system. Please do me a favor and refrain from agreeing or disagreeing with whatever you THINK I said.
Best Amp to drive my Apogee Stages?
Dave,Thank you for posting the video. That demonstrates what I was talking about. Imagine how the amplifier would have responded if the high level had been sustained instead of abruptly terminated.
Best Amp to drive my Apogee Stages?
Muralman1,Please don't quote me on things I did NOT say.
Best Amp to drive my Apogee Stages?
It is not just about SPL. It is about headroom, dynamics, and PRAT. I have had Stages/Mini Grands for 18 years with different amps. I never heard the panels come alive until I put serious power on them. I am NOT talking about 250 watts into 4 ohms...

Audio FX may be nearly invisible but they have plenty of free parking. -:) I like the easy access.
Sacramento, California
Yes it is the same Audio FX. They moved.I have never been in the Roseville Paradyme. The Sacramento Paradyme is very heavy HT. I have not been in that store for several years.

Audio FX east of Bus 80 around 30-32nd St and D or E. I don't think they are in the phone book. PM me if you can't find them. I have a phone number and address somewhere.Paradyme--on Fulton just north of Arden on the east side. Mostly HT last time...
Best Amp to drive my Apogee Stages?
Sogood51--Dave, I had a Krell KSA-250 on my Stage panels for several years so I know what they can do. By moving on I also found out what they can't do. I agree that tube amps and Stages can be very enjoyable. I borrowed some tube amps and tried t...
Best Amp to drive my Apogee Stages?
Sogood51 I am glad you are happy with your Stages used as part of a Mini Grand system but I have to disagree with you about power requirements. I have had Stages (later Mini Grands) for 18 years and when I finally put serious power on them I disco...
