"What's The Best Value Speaker In $5k-$10k Range?"
Revel F52 and Salon StudioParadigm S8PSB Sync One
Speakers vs. headphones
After listening to Audeze, Hifiman and other highly regarded cans they have never managed to impress me like speakers have. Speakers can give me chills down my spine, headphones have never done that.
ATC Monitors vs. Paradigm S8?
Btw the s8s have a more linear response than these ATC and most speakers on this forum board. I dare you to search the graphs and compare. That said, I think many subjective listeners prefer distortion in some cases, rolled off highs in some cases,...

Paradigm S8 vs. Sonus Faber Cremona M
The paradigms are very linear (look up the freq response) and shouldn't sound harsh or hot by any means. That said take a look back at your room and source material. You may be surprised with how revealing these speakers are.Paradigm is pretty big...
Paradigm Signature V2 vs V3 series?
I agree with the idea of going with a larger (S6) speaker. The V3 and V2 are very similar, both contain the Be tweeters but the V3 has increased power handling in the woofers. The V3 are also more sensitive. If you dont need the sensitivity save t...
Anyone try TC Sounds for music?
McIsound If you use the TC Sounds you will not miss the Auras. The EP4000 IMO is a fantastic amp, and will drive a 4ohm load bridged too. This am measures extremely well (I've seen it bench tested vs other amps). The only problem with it that the ...
Anyone try TC Sounds for music?
Amp is EP4000 (Behringer based on QSC spec) - below 1% thd at over 2000 RMS. This sub can take 2500 RMS with upto 8000watt peaks. It is nothing short of amazing.I use the DCX2496 as the XO and use a 2nd order L-R EQ at 20hz to create the natural r...
Anyone try TC Sounds for music?
Yeah, I currently use the 18 inch LMS5400 in a custom sealed enclosure paired with my main channels. The output from this sub is the lowest THD and that you could find in the market. Extremely linear response, especially when EQ is applied. Very us...
Zu Druid MK IVs vs. Essences
213cobra - Because its one of the most terrible responses ever. =/Not only is it's bass response poor, its mids and highs are poor. The floor excuse just doesn't cut it.This is just plain old colored sound IMO shouldn't rest in any persons home th...
Zu Druid MK IVs vs. Essences
Sebrof - You can't seriously expect these speakers to be accurate. This is a textbook example of a speaker not to buy IMO. Sounds like someones got buyers remorse.
Paradigm Signature S8 V2 review
Sthomas12321 using that logic i could apply EQ to an accurate speaker to make it sound like these "smooth, relaxed" speakers you describe by rolling off the higher frequencies.I then could boost my bass by adding a few db to the lower end so that ...
Zu Druid MK IVs vs. Essences
These aren't "Stereophile Measurements" 1. Its soundstage magazine.2. All loudspeaker measurements are performed independently at the National Research Council of Canada.3. That's why PSB, Paradigm and a few other Canadian makes are very accurate ...
Subwoofer recommendations for mostly music
Look into having a custom made cabinet for the TC sounds LMS5400. It will destroy most of the overpriced stuff here. Its an 18inch woofer that can run over 100db at 20hz with less than 5% thd.Very linear.
