Which integrated for Wilson Sabrina's
Upon reflection I think @audphile1 has a point about moving from a pre and power to an integrated.  Having said that,@panzrwagn comments are fair re validation for equipment.  If I was to add 15k to my current kit it would not be with PASS gear as...
Which integrated for Wilson Sabrina's
I agree the dagastino, Ch precision, soulutions, DarTZeel are amazing and would be awesome with the Wilsons's; however, I should have specified I do not want to spend over 9k for an integrated.  There is a gryphon that seems like it would work as ...
Preamp shootout: Linear tube audio, Modwright, etc.
@phcollie  - Yeah - I hear you.  Went from loving integrateds, to thinking I was somehow ahead of the curve going Dac to power amp - LOL Have a whole new respect for the Pre as a result.  It really is the heart of a good system.

@lancelock Interesting to hear your perspective on the coda pre.  Doug at Coda is one of my favorite people in the audio world and I have no doubt that his pre is fantastic!  This coda TS is a powerhouse.  I think you have helped me make my decisi...

The LTA is a really beautiful piece of kit.  Easily the quietest tubed pre I have ever heard and the low volume resolution is exceptional.  The LS100 is not as clean sounding or anywhere near as resolving, however EVERYTHING sounds B+, or even A-....
Streamer vs. new mac mini for 2 channel system
Thank you everyone for your responses.   I think I'm going to get the lumin u1 mini for streaming Roon and find some computer alternative for streaming YouTube, SoundCloud and Netflix etc.  Does anyone know if I can access the lumin through my lap...

Ayre K-5xeMP vs. Electrocompaniet - EC 4.8 MK II, or others?
Well, I bought an Modwright LS 100 and could not be more happy with my choice.  Injecting tubes into my kit really underlines lloydc's comments:Once you “hear” tubes, SS simply won’t do
Ayre K-5xeMP vs. Electrocompaniet - EC 4.8 MK II, or others?
So down to the Ayre and the Modwright...I've read the modwright has tube rush.  No idea what that is, but I don't think I want that.  Can anyone comment?
Ayre K-5xeMP vs. Electrocompaniet - EC 4.8 MK II, or others?
I have always wanted a piece of Modwright gear, so thank you for the LS100 recommendation.  Have been wary of tubes, but the more I read the more I think a tube pre could be the way to go.
Ayre K-5xeMP vs. Electrocompaniet - EC 4.8 MK II, or others?
Hi Chorus,The kef's sound very good in this setup, however I am missing the big deep soundstage I have heard the Kef's capable of and I think I can get more out of them.I have an opportunity to get an EAR 864 at a fairly good price that I may cons...
Ayre K-5xeMP vs. Electrocompaniet - EC 4.8 MK II, or others?
Based on what I've read I think you may be right.  I am definitely leaning towards the Ayre.
Disappointment with Pass Labs - I'm looking for something else
It sounds like the Klipsch and Pass just don't get along.  I've been battling with different amps for the past few years and have gone from Krell, to Musical Fidelity, to Hegel and have landed on Coda.  Check out the Coda offerings.  The continuum...
No preamp?
"You could do us all a favor if you would call Doug and ask him why the balanced input impedance is so low on his amps."Great suggestion.Called Doug and he told me that the 1 Kohm is just not the case.  It says so on the Coda site, however he said...
No preamp?
When it comes to impedance and these discussions I am way out of my depth. Is that why the XLR outs sound way better than RCA's?  Or should it be the opposite?  Confused...Not to get into a ridiculous cable discussion, but using the cardas neutral ...
