Love of MUSIC or love of GEAR
I think it can be both...and probably is for everybody..I buy a lot of music, like to experiment with what I buy but I do endlessly tweak at times too listening to the same piece(s) over and over and enjoying the upgrades/tweaks that work...whateve...
Rock and Roll Snobbery
Mmmm-I went back and listened to the only CD I had that is mentioned above, the 2nd Stone Roses album and yup it is way overcooked(haven't listened to it in years it's from '94). It strikes me and this is just an observation that it may be distinct...
Rock and Roll Snobbery
Cme on guys one CD hardly proves the point.....I don't believe most serious artists would allow their albums to be over compressed just to sound good on radio/boomboxes...many acts have made mistakes with productions but...also the argument about ...

Shopping CD players: my big adventure
Kitch29..of course Joan Baez politics sucks...such a well thought out criticism especially since she's spent a fair bit of time basically trying to help people out...that is really bad....why oh why do I get the impression the more threads I read ...
Greatest Guitar Band

Greatest Guitar Band
Shubertmaniac yup well cleared up-I agree about early Zeppelin(highly derivative) however in my opinion they developed into arguably the greatest rock band ever,in a way that their contempories never did--the later albums are a brilliant blend of ...
Greatest Guitar Band
Shubertmaniac I have no idea what this thread is about..you start off talking about a guitar band then mention the drummer and harmonica.(also I think you'll find Page played bass for the short time he played with Beck..as far as I'm aware most ba...
