Gryphon Essence Stereo vs Pass Labs XA series
Have not heard the Diablo 300 but most people prefer the Eseence to the Diablo. Not only a more refined Class-A sound, also more power full. Auditing the Essence at home now and it easily discard the Bryston 4B3 amp in most regards, and the Brysto...
Gryphon Essence Pre and Stereo Power Amp Review
I've got the Essence home for audition right now. 50 class A watt vs Brystons (4B3) 330 class AB watt (8ohm). First impression after a few hours. The Essence sounds far more powerful. It just digs deeper into the music. Unbelievable.
Atma-Sphere M60 monoblocks + ML ESL 11 = Inferior combo
@gdnrbob  The pair I am borrowing are a pair of demos. Lets see at what price point they are for the moment. …and you are right. They probably can handle any loads. Sounds terrific and have outgunned my beloved Bryston in most areas, Ive learned...
Atma-Sphere M60 monoblocks + ML ESL 11 = Inferior combo
@bdp24  …will read up on them! Thanks!
Atma-Sphere M60 monoblocks + ML ESL 11 = Inferior combo
@decooney  A Theoretica Applied Physics Bacch SP-adio. It is a crosstalk eleminating sound processor with a DAC doubling as a pre-amp. Works gr8 for me. But combining with a nice tube preamp is also something to consider!
Atma-Sphere M60 monoblocks + ML ESL 11 = Inferior combo
@bdp24 Thanks for advice.  These speakers sounds interesting. Will not break the bank either.  Its a shame no dealer in Sweden carries them. Would be interesting to listen to them to see how they compete (in my ears) to a pair of large MLs. KR
Atma-Sphere M60 monoblocks + ML ESL 11 = Inferior combo
@decooney Thanks for good advice. And yes. Both types of amplification, stellar in their own way. If I ever would have the budget to have a smaller separate system the M60s would be on the list together with speakers suited for the technology. Bu...
Atma-Sphere M60 monoblocks + ML ESL 11 = Inferior combo
@atmasphere Thanks for reaching out.  First all of. Let me tell you the M60s sounded just fantastic with a pair of Vivid Kaya S12 in my local hifi shop. So intimate, wonderfully vocals. Organic sound. A midrange to die for. Got me intrigued. May...

@decooney Thanks!
Atma-Sphere M60 monoblocks + ML ESL 11 = Inferior combo
Hi Guys, Thanks for your input! Indeed I know that the MLs are demanding when it comes to impedance, but I for sure has a learning curve ahead of me when it comes to OTL and Tubes in general. I guess I didn’t expect the same energy and presence i...
Suggestions for a streamer only (I have a great DAC)
@headphonedreams +1 for the Metronome. I had that home for a weekend and tested it against the dCS. It is as well built as the dCS and very musical sounding. The dCS digs out more details do, I find. I also prefer Mosaic before M-connect (the gen...
Suggestions for a streamer only (I have a great DAC)
@naperaudio  I would really consider the dCS Network bridge. It is built like a tank, a no nonsense product, as ambitious as the rest of the dCS line.  The reason it is dis-continued is dCS could not find economics in it, I was told. It is just...
Suggestions for a streamer only (I have a great DAC)
I may add the dCS network bridge run on Mosaic, a software you are familiar with from your other dCS products. Mosaic was ok as a software. If I had the the dCS set up you have I would not look any further. There are still a few in stock here and ...
Suggestions for a streamer only (I have a great DAC)
I tried dCS network bridge for a couple of weeks. It is good. A lot of details. I however went another path and invested in a Theoretica Applied Physics Bacch SP- Adio. It is in addition to a streamer, a DAC and a preamp and a 3D sound processor. ...
Theoretica Applied Physics BACCH-SP adio 3D Sound Processor
After having listening to the Theoretica Applied Physics Bacch-SP Adio, over the course of in total 10 hours on three different occasions in my local store with multiple different high end amplifiers and speakers, and up to 100 of my favorite trac...
