whats your idea of loud music.
A BIG LOL to Mike the biker and Elizebeth. Loud wont hurt you until it becomes such that it over powers the ears mechanical abilities to discren frequencies, and this is quite beyond 110dB, thus causing mechanical defect/damage to the working part...
whats your idea of loud music.
I mostly agree with the above. But since when does WPC indicate loud? Good sounding loud any way. Driver excursion, SPL, and control is far more important than WPC, any day, and this requires amperage, not just voltage.BWOE, I have experimented wi...

No offence Ar t, but you obviously have no experience with Proton gear. And yes those specs I posted are correct, as taken directly from the Proton manual. In their day the Protons were among the most powerful amplifiers money could buy, and even ...

Hi,My local dealer has been trying to get me to purchase the same speaker for quite some time- IMHO, for imaging nothing beats a planner. But subsonics are another story, what our local high end dealer has been doing, offering 8", 10", and 12" Vel...

A tubes vs. Solid State question.
Well, with the above science being used in this topic I will say this, as science goes its all theory until something else comes along, nothing is set in stone. But, from the above explanation, conditioning is the culprit, not true physical charac...
I am openning a shop. What equipment should I sell
^^^^ I agree size does matter, no doubt. After all how can any manufacturer provide realistic output from a "small speaker" none that I have ever listened to have. But then I compare speakers to actual events that I have had the chance to listen a...

LOL, well I am not one to hate anyone, I appreciate your.....comments. However, you can, and may, snub your nose at my set up- but I would challenge you to a listen before you condem what I have built. With that aside, I enjoy the sound, as do eve...
A tubes vs. Solid State question.
LOL, tube gear does a few things very well, ask any musician whom requires distortion, or, an on the stage heat sorce for what ever reason a roadie determines.Seriously, I have had VTL, and CJ and I was only impressed with two areas, one being the...
