No,the optical output is an output only.I've seen a cd player that gives you this option,but it's very rare.It would need to have a optical input for this to work.
airport express into optical output on cd player
I'd like to know if it's possible to run an optical cable from my airport express into my Musical Fidelity A3.2 CDP' optical output and play music from iTunes...I'd like to know if anybody has tried this option. It's a pretty good sounding onboard DAC.
