Real world experience with the Funk or Funk V TT

What do you expect of a review of a product that is advertised in their magazine?

I've examined one closely at a show and wasn't very impressed - it's not well finished and looks too expensive.

I wasn't impressed with how it sounded either - if you can imagine the sonic equivalent of watching tv with the brightness and contrast turned down low - the music was there but it didn't have the vibrancy and resolution I would want.

Does anyone have a pdf of the Hi Fi Choice review they can email me ??

What are you talking about? I own a Funk V and it has all the detail and vibrancy I would ever need. Sonically it is comfortable with anything up to twice the cost. Are you sure that you hadn't got a problem with your ears?
