People mention ’speakers’ are burnt.
Those are two way, with separate tweeters. Tweeters blow more readily than mid drivers, the coil wire is smaller diameter, and some have better material, like ferro fluid, to dissipate the heat.
I am hoping only your tweeters are blown.
However, they are very low sensitivity, only 85db.
I would encourage you to take advantage of the problem, and look for a 3 way design, with a separate and larger diameter woofer, and ONLY consider higher sensitivity, say 89 or higher.
Bigger visually, yes, but you can get a compact 3 way, put it on a short stand that tilts it back so the tweeter is aimed at your seated ear height. These are made for KLH 3 ways for instance:

These, taller, are very adjustable. You can use them 'straight' or adjust them to angle back some, i.e. cut the rear legs, or add something, under the front legs, or under the front edge of the speaker on the stand.

AR-2ax is one of the most compact 3 ways, I had them in college, restored a pair, they sounded so good I restored a second pair.
These are already restored

KLH has re-issued their model 5, 3 way, with an angled stand

any way, many others exist, but I think many avoid 3 way due to their larger appearance, keeping them low helps with that, angling them up not only aims the tweeter's narrow wavelengths at your ear, it beneficially alters the angle of reflected sound off the floor and ceiling.
